the four of us were invited to dinner at a friend from church's house. they're a big six-kid italian family. we were all seated at the dinner table. candles and china were out and everything. i could tell luci was doing her best to behave. halfway into the meal the mom said, "oh, you know, i forgot. i made steak. i have a steak in the kitchen." luci quickly stood on top of her chair and shrieked, "snake?!"
